What Should You Do If You Get A Move Wrong In A Dance Routine?
If you get a move wrong you should carry on! Don't stop. Though you may not always notice, dancers do make mistakes when on stage.
You've got to carry on. First of all it's a good habit to get into because if you're a pro and a move goes wrong, you have to carry on you can't start again.
Secondly no one may notice. The chroreographer or teacher may notice but it's probably not as big a deal to everyone else as you think it is.
And if teachers do notice, they like students that carry on and don't give up.
If there was a dancer that gets things perfect every time, on stage and in rehearsals then I have never met them.
But if they made a big deal every time something went wrong I can guarantee that they wouldn't be much in demand as a dancer.
In sports things rarely go perfectly. The striker does not always score, the pool player does not always pot the ball.
In dancing too things do go wrong but you have to carry on regardless. It's a great habit to get into if you wish to be a professional dancer at some stage.
