Where Can You Learn Routines From Music Videas And Films?
If you're interested in learning dance routines that you see in music videos or films then these opportunities are available to you if you keep your eyes open.
Many top choreographers also teach dance classes. Some of them teach regularly while some of them teach one off master classes. Some don't teach at all.
If there is a particular routine or style of choreography you see on TV that you like it is worth finding out who the choreographer of that piece is.
Don't be surprised to find that they teach dance classes.
If it's some choreography in a new film that you like, if you keep your eyes out you will probably be able to take part in a master class with one of the cast of the film.
There are lots of dancers in dance films. Usually when a film comes out, a number of them will hold master classes and may even teach routines from the film itself.
It's worth noting that these will most likely be master classes and so at a fairly advanced level of dance. So get your practise in beforehand so you are ready when the chance comes to you.
Even if they don't teach you a famous dance routine, if you like their choreography style then there is a good chance you will like whatever routine they teach in the class.
And it's never a bad idea to learn from the best!
Many of the top dancers are also interested in choreography so if you want to learn from a dancer, don't be surprised to find your favourite dancers are also dance teachers as well!
